Age is just a number, but oh, the importance we, as a society, place on that number is one that I am finally beginning to wrap my mind around. Yes, it may have taken me 50 years to finally see all the milestones I was told were to be of significant meaning to me; however, the one thing that I am surprised that is rising to the surface through this next transition or milestone is truth.
Standing in truth looks a little bit different now that half of my life is completed and I have a plethora of experiences behind me that have awarded me more wisdom than I could have imagined. History is a beautiful teacher and I am leaning more into it than ever before.
Yes, the world is in a minor state of chaos. Everyday I wake up to see which path humanity is headed down and wonder if this time we may take a different approach on how “this” is all done. Unfortunately, I fear, we still have not quite gotten the message down about love and kindness being the main factors in making life doable for all.
Thankfully though, I am putting the pieces of the puzzle together for my own life and each one holds more truth once they are all joined together to make the big picture of my own reality. The truths I hold dear are ones that I had to learn on my own through some rather challenging circumstances….but I think that is how most of us learn the knowledge that is worth carrying forward day to day.
My hope is that the years that are still in front of me are a proper reflection of all that I understand about this crazy world and Universe. I promise to never stop being curious and ask more WHAT questions rather than the WHY ones. I also promise to all of you that I will share all that I know about this journey in hopes that it makes your travels in this life filled with more love rather than fear.
Much love and appreciation,
Holly
PS…don’t forget to laugh today…someone needs to hear you make that odd sound every so often :)
